CDC 2 - Informations

Welcome to CDC 2, the Club's recreational soccer program!
We're excited to have young players join us for what promises to be a season full of fun, learning and growth. Our program is designed to introduce young players to the joys of soccer, encouraging a love of the game while emphasizing teamwork, sportsmanship and skill development. The season runs from May 27 to August 16, 2024. An end-of-season party will be held one weekend shortly after the end of the season.

Please take a few moments to read the information below and familiarize yourself with the rules and conditions of our program. Your understanding and cooperation are essential to creating a positive and safe environment for all participants.

Rules and Terms

1. Safety first: The safety of our players is our top priority. Please note that all players must wear shin guards and cleats to every training session and match (these are not provided by the club). Players who fail to wear this equipment may be refused entry to matches. For all injuries, please consult the trainer immediately. For all injuries, please consult the coach immediately, who will immediately contact a field supervisor for assistance. In addition, a first-aid kit is located between courts 9A and 9B.

2. Attendance and punctuality: Attendance is essential to your child's development and to team cohesion. Please ensure that your child arrives on time for training sessions and matches.

3. Behavior and sportsmanship: We expect all players to demonstrate good sportsmanship and respect for coaches, teammates and opponents. Bullying, aggressive behaviour or disrespect will not be tolerated.

4. Parental support: Your positive encouragement is essential. Please support your child and teammates, respect the decisions of coaches and referees, and refrain from coaching from the sidelines.

5. Communication: Stay informed of schedules, weather cancellations, updates and announcements via our Instagram, email and website. If you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to contact us. Also, please feel free to reach out to any of our field supervisors with any questions or concerns.

Uniforms and Equipment

All CDC 2 registrants will receive a jersey, shorts, socks, backpack and soccer ball.

Uniform pick-up will take place on May 25 and 26 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Parc Marcel Laurin. You can also pick them up during the week 30 minutes before the start of training (5:30-7:30 p.m.) starting May 27. Uniforms will be available at the red roof of Marcel Laurin Park from Monday to Friday for the first two weeks of the season. Thereafter, they will only be available during club opening hours

All players will receive a ball for the season. We ask each player or parent to uniquely mark their child's ball to prevent loss or theft. In addition, if players are not using their ball, they must ensure that it is safely stored to prevent loss or theft. We will not replace lost balls or equipment. We will replace defective balls. New or additional balls can be purchased at the office during opening hours.

CDC 2 - Recreational

CDC-2 is a recreational soccer program for girls (F) and boys (M) that is categorized by year of birth and gender. No experience, tryouts, photos, or soccer passports are required. Shin pads and outdoor soccer shoes are mandatory and must be supplied by the participants. The related activity fees include one soccer uniform kit per player, – consisting of a jersey, shorts, socks, a soccer ball and a knapsack – and include taxes.

Location:: Marcel-Laurin Park

Duration: 12 weeks

Frequency: Twice per week, one hour per session

Days: Monday through Friday

Registration - New Members:

  1. If the participant is registering for the first time, a clear, digital photo of the participant’s Medicare card or equivalent government-issued document (identifying their year of birth) is mandatory and needs to be digitally attached during online registration or emailed promptly to teams@soccerstl.ca in order to confirm the registration.
  2. The following are considered to be new members: 1) The participant has never been registered in a soccer club in Quebec. 2) Participants who have only registered for the Saint-Laurent Soccer Camp or for the EDS program (and never registered for CDC-1, CDC-2, LDIR, LSEQ, PLSJQ, or PLSQ programs) 3) Participants who were registered during the past season with a different club.
